Computing this for every employee, every cutoff? WORKSPHR computes and reports SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG automatically — Book a demo →

Every payroll cutoff, HR has to deduct the right SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions and remit the matching employer share. Get the bracket wrong and the error repeats on every payslip until an employee or an agency notices.

This free SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contribution calculator uses the 2026 rates. Enter any monthly salary to see what the employee pays, what the employer pays, and the total remittance for each agency. The full 2026 SSS contribution table and the formulas are below.

How to use the contribution calculator

  1. Enter the employee's monthly basic salary. For daily-paid staff, multiply the daily rate by the equivalent working days (for example, ₱600 × 26 = ₱15,600).

  2. Click Calculate.

  3. Review the employee share (deducted from pay), the employer share (paid by the company), and the total to remit per agency.

2026 contribution rates at a glance

  • SSS: 15% of the Monthly Salary Credit (MSC). Employer pays 10%, employee pays 5%. MSC ranges from ₱5,000 to ₱35,000. The employer also pays the Employees' Compensation (EC) premium: ₱10 for MSC below ₱15,000, ₱30 from ₱15,000.

  • PhilHealth: 5% of monthly basic salary, split equally (2.5% each). Salary floor ₱10,000 and ceiling ₱100,000, so the monthly premium ranges from ₱500 to ₱5,000.

  • Pag-IBIG: 2% each from employee and employer, based on a maximum fund salary of ₱10,000. Most employees pay ₱200 and the employer adds ₱200. Employees earning ₱1,500 or less pay 1%.

None of the three agencies changed their headline rates for 2026. SSS reached 15% in 2025 as the final step under RA 11199, and PhilHealth's 5% is the final scheduled rate under the Universal Health Care Act (RA 11223).

For MSC above ₱20,000, part of the contribution goes to the Mandatory Provident Fund (WISP), but the total employee and employer amounts stay the same as shown.

How contributions are computed: 3 examples

Minimum wage earner in Central Luzon (₱15,600/month)

  • SSS: MSC ₱15,500 → employee ₱775, employer ₱1,550 + ₱30 EC

  • PhilHealth: ₱15,600 × 5% = ₱780 → ₱390 each

  • Pag-IBIG: ₱200 employee, ₱200 employer

  • Employee deductions: ₱1,365 · Employer share: ₱2,170

Office staff earning ₱25,000/month

  • SSS: MSC ₱25,000 → employee ₱1,250, employer ₱2,500 + ₱30 EC

  • PhilHealth: ₱25,000 × 5% = ₱1,250 → ₱625 each

  • Pag-IBIG: ₱200 employee, ₱200 employer

  • Employee deductions: ₱2,075 · Employer share: ₱3,355

Manager earning ₱120,000/month

  • SSS: capped at MSC ₱35,000 → employee ₱1,750, employer ₱3,500 + ₱30 EC

  • PhilHealth: capped at ₱100,000 → ₱2,500 each

  • Pag-IBIG: ₱200 employee, ₱200 employer

  • Employee deductions: ₱4,450 · Employer share: ₱6,230

Common contribution mistakes employers make

  1. Using an outdated SSS table. The MSC ceiling is now ₱35,000; older tables stop at ₱30,000 and under-remit for higher earners.

  2. Deducting the EC premium from the employee. EC is paid by the employer only.

  3. Using a ₱5,000 Pag-IBIG cap. The maximum fund salary has been ₱10,000 since February 2024, so the standard share is ₱200, not ₱100.

  4. Computing PhilHealth on gross pay. PhilHealth uses monthly basic salary, within the ₱10,000 floor and ₱100,000 ceiling.

  5. Missing remittance deadlines. Late SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG payments carry penalties. See our DOLE Compliance Guide for the wider compliance picture.
